PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT TIM "GONZO" GONZALEZ HAS PASSED AWAY AS OF FEB. 13TH 2009!
ANYBODY THAT HAS GUITARS LEFT FOR REPAIR, PLEASE SEND YOUR INFORMATION TO THE WEBSITE. OR CONTACT HAL RUTTINGER AT 801-759-1264
PLAN TO PICK UP YOUR INSTRUMENT BY March 30th 2009, OTHERWISE, THE INSTRUMENT WILL BE SOLD AT PUBLIC AUCTION AS PART OF THE ESTATE!

Additional Note: Several music lovers have suggested that we dedicate this site as a local point of contact for local musicians and musician "wanna-be's" that would want to gather to play music together in an "Open Mike" format! As it turns out, I now own the GonzoGuitars.com domain. I will be maintaining the site and all of the original content as a link on the new website that is forthcoming. For now however, I am leaving the site as is until the closure of Tim's Business. Gwen and Cedar still have instruments that have not been claimed. They will be holding these articles as long as they need to legally. But, they will not hold on to them forever. So please click the "EMAIL GONZO" link if you need to communicate to us about your un-retrieved instrument. Again, my phone number is 801-750-1264 and you can call me also and I will relay any information to Gwen and Cedar. Beyond all of that!
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING ON AN EMAIL LIST, WE WILL SEND AN EMAIL TO LET YOU KNOW ABOUT OPEN MIKE MUSICAL EVENTS. KEEP YOUR EYES ON THIS WEBSITE AND SEND ME YOUR EMAILS AND I WILL ADD THEM TO OUR EVENTS LIST SO YOU CAN RECEIVE THE "BY INVITATION ONLY" NOTIFICATIONS FOR OUR OPEN MIKE JAMS. THE NEW WEBSITE (C0MING SOON) WILL BE POSTED IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS! ALSO, I AM WORKING ON BECOMING A MARTIN GUITAR .COM PROMOTOR FOR THE STATE OF UTAH. THIS MEANS THAT WE MAY HAVE AN INSIDE CONNECTION WITH MARTIN GUITARS AS PART OF A GRASS ROOTS PROMOTION, SO STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFORMATION AND PLEASE SEND ME EMAIL THROUGH THE WEB LINK. I WILL START POSTING SUBMISSIONS IN BLOG FORMAT AS I RECEIVE YOUR SUGGESTIONS. WE ARE GOING TO RE-DEFINE GONZO GUITARS TO BE MORE OF AN AMATEUR MUSICIANS ACTIVITIES SITE AND LESS AND LESS OF A TIM GONZALEZ MEMORIAL SITE. I KNOW THAT IN GONZO'S HEART, HE WAS ALL ABOUT EXPRESSING THE SOUL THROUGH MUSIC. THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO PROMOTE! SO JOIN WITH ME AND GO GONZO FOR MUSIC! ==============================================================================================
Original Content:

Quickly on a more serious side, if this is your first time here I would like to introduce myself. My Name is D. Tim Gonzalez(deceased) or Gonzo to many. I went to school at the Red Wing Tech. College for two years, 1989-1991 and I have worked professionally as a luthier since at different shops and through my basement for years. Gonzo Guitars became incorporated in 2000 and I’ve been on my own as a full warranty station luthiery shop ever since.

I play on my own guitars that I built to which I love both very much. What you will see in the photos is the many varying jobs that get done here. I try to always be honest with my customers and let them know there different options of repair and then we will often both decide which course of action is best for them. I do have a standard that states any work that I do I want to be proud of it in the face of any other professional luthier that might see it.

I take pride in the fact that I have established myself to my many regular customers as the place to take it when it needs work no matter the issue. I also am very grateful to all of you that it maters the Gonzo keeps it rolling! Thank you!

If you have any repair issue please let me know. I would love to be of service. I would also like to thank both Dave Hahn and Ken Briercheck for there work on this web site. Dave built the page in 2000 and I have done nothing with it until now. My good friend and one of my apprentices, Ken Briercheck has updated my web page and is going to help me to learn to maintain it myself.

As I already stated we are going to be doing more with this page in not to long of time so check back in. If you I can help you just let me know. E-mail is best if you can but you’r always welcome to call.

Respectfully,

Gonzo
