Welcome to Gonzo Guitars!

Greetings to all of you that are visiting my site!

Gonzo here and I will do a more formal Bio later but for now I just want to say welcome and I hope you like what we’re doing. We’ll be putting up a new page with some really cool photos of jobs that we’ve working on. I also want to set up a calendar keeping you posted on Gonzo Gigs as I’ve been playing out every week. For right now just count on me on Wed. evenings at the Firehouse BBQ and Thurs. evening at the Barbary Coast Open Mic. So come on in if you’d like some Gonzo Tunage (my word, not a typo) and bring an instrument on Thurs. if you want.

Quickly on a more serious side, if this is your first time here I would like to introduce myself. My Name is D. Tim Gonzalez or Gonzo to many. I went to school at the Red Wing Tech. College for two years, 1989-1991 and I have worked professionally as a luthier since at different shops and through my basement for years. Gonzo Guitars became incorporated in 2000 and I’ve been on my own as a full warranty station luthiery shop ever since.

I play on my own guitars that I built to which I love both very much. What you will see in the photos is the many varying jobs that get done here. I try to always be honest with my customers and let them know there different options of repair and then we will often both decide which course of action is best for them. I do have a standard that states any work that I do I want to be proud of it in the face of any other professional luthier that might see it.

I take pride in the fact that I have established myself to my many regular customers as the place to take it when it needs work no matter the issue. I also am very grateful to all of you that it maters the Gonzo keeps it rolling! Thank you!

If you have any repair issue please let me know. I would love to be of service. I would also like to thank both Dave Hahn and Ken Briercheck for there work on this web site. Dave built the page in 2000 and I have done nothing with it until now. My good friend and one of my apprentices, Ken Briercheck has updated my web page and is going to help me to learn to maintain it myself.

As I already stated we are going to be doing more with this page in not to long of time so check back in. If you I can help you just let me know. E-mail is best if you can but you’r always welcome to call.

Respectfully,

Gonzo
